Treasures

        

    What a YEAR!!  No.Words.   We just wrapped up fifteen months of online learning and arguably the hardest fifteen months of my professional life- EVER!

    And you know what the silly thing is?  The crazy thing is I probably would do it all over again for the kids. That's how we roll, don't we teachers?   We do it for the kids. These kids are so damn resilient, and so unbelievably positive. Of course, by the end of the year they got me drinking the kool-aid.

     On the last day reflecting in a morning meeting about our "bests/worsts,"  one student shared, "The best part was meeting all you guys.  The worst part? Not meeting you  guys in person." This has been the best year of my life,"  another girl shared.  I gulped.  She had spent the whole year online.  That afternoon I found these treasures she had left me in my teacher mailbox.  Here she was, yet again, sharing just one more tiny piece of her-as if I could ever forget her.
